Granite

Its name is derived from the Latin word 'granum', which means 'grain', a reference to the easily-seen minerals in the rock.

Granite, like other building stones, is used for a variety of structural and decorative purposes.  Typical exterior uses for granite include sculpture, structural and veneer building stone, architectural trim, paving, counter tops, graves markers, tomb stones and monuments.
